Gregory D. Dufala
Executive Vice President | LPL Financial Advisor
Greg’s experience in the financial services industry includes previous employment at UBS Financial Services, and most recently at PNC Investments. While at UBS, he was a top performer in his Financial Advisor Trainee class, attaining recognition for being a Tier One advisor amongst his peers. During his time at PNC, Greg was consistently recognized as a top advisor through his managers. He transitioned his practice to Legacy Financial / LPL in April 2012.
Greg specializes in providing retirement planning and income distribution strategies, estate and insurance planning, and investment advice for individuals, professionals, and businesses. His focus working with businesses has been concentrated in providing business owners tax efficient retirement plan strategies. These strategies focus on maximizing 401k potential and additionally leveraging the tax efficiencies of Defined Benefit Cash Balance plans.
The decision to practice in an independent model allows him the ability to provide clients financial advice with no emphasis on proprietary products. Additionally, the affiliation with LPL financial provides a platform for him to maintain client relationships at a local level as opposed to being forced to send clients to regional call centers. He feels that having one advisor that can provide all financial services truly simplifies and enhances the experience for the client.
After graduating from Cathedral Prep, he continued his education and athletic career at Duke University. While competing on the Duke Football team, Greg was the recipient of two prestigious recognitions. He was recognized as the Outstanding Offensive Lineman Award winner as voted on by his teammates, and academically earned a spot on the Atlantic Coast Conference Honor Roll. Additionally, he earned three varsity letters. Greg attained his degrees from Duke University in both Sociology and Markets & Management Studies.
Greg and his wife Katie have four children: Josie, Lucas, Lilly, and Alex. They are active supporters of St. George’s School and Church, The Achievement Center, and The Autism Society of NWPA. Outside of work Greg enjoys spending time with his family, watching sporting events, (especially the Steelers), hunting & fishing.
